Ministries
The Abilene Seventh-day Adventist Church family, although small, is full of love.
Lay Ministries will be hosting an evangelistic series from August 17 and September 5 entitled "New Beginnings". Speaking will be our own Ben Balanay, Head Elder. He will be presenting subjects such as "How to Know the Future", "Signs You Can't Ignore" and "Born to Live Forever". Come and invite your friends and family to this series of meetings. While the adults attend the meetings, the children will be treated to Vacation Bible School. The VBS teachers are excited about sharing with the kids the love of Christ. A short fellowship will follow each meeting.
Personal Ministries is heading up the beginings of a year of Ministry. The AY program will be working with Personal Ministries to conduct visitation to residents of the Mesa Springs Nursing Home here in Abilene. If you would like to participate, it will be both a joy and a blessing to the visitor and the resident. Many of them don't have visitors to come and share time with them. Check the Calendar for dates and times.
Adventist Youth (AY) is up and running and need your support. Our youth are future leaders of our church. Encourage your children and youth to come and bring their friends. And you come too! AY is for youth of all ages. If you've missed last Sabbath's meeting, the meetings are every other Sabbath. Check the Calendar for schedule.
